FUNPRO project at the announcement of the opening of the IDEAS 2024 program and the DIASPORA program


The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia organized an event on October 8, 2024, at the Youth Center, Belgrade to announce the opening of the IDEAS 2024 program and the DIASPORA program – grants for visits by diaspora researchers to scientists in Serbia.

During the event, the attendees were addressed by the acting director of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Nenad Filipović; World Bank Country Manager for Serbia, Nikola Pontara; the EU Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, H.E. Emmanuel Giaufret; and the Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović.

A panel was held as part of the event, featuring four project leaders (one from each sub-program) who are currently implementing projects within the ongoing IDEAS program. During the panel, the project leaders responded to several moderator questions related to their project topics, achieved results and successes during project implementation, their experience in leading project teams, and the importance of the support provided by the Science Fund. Prof. Dr. Mirjana Pešić presented the results of the FUNPRO project within the Engineering and technological sciences sub-program.
