ACAC 2024 is the fourth of a series of International Conferences that were initiated on the occasion of the Centennial Anniversary of the Department of Chemistry, of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) since its establishment in 1918. The Conference took place in Athens from November 5 to 8, 2024. The conference was very active and successful and was well attended by academics, researchers, postgraduate students, postdoctoral research associates and technology providers. During the Conference, several plenary and invited lectures, contributed talks, and poster presentations took place, leading to fruitful discussions on the latest topics in chemistry in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Prof. Dr Mirjana Pešić, PI of the FUNPRO project, and Dr. Dejan Stojković gave oral presentations on: “Goat milk proteins as a promising ingredient for functional food” and “Mushrooms as natural resources of functional food and biologically active compounds”, respectively.
